Governor’s Conference On LGBT Youth

Iowa Safe Schools' 3rd Annual Governor’s Conference is planned for February 21, 2008. 

The keynote speaker will be former NBA star John Amaechi.  John made headlines at the beginning of 2007 for being the first openly gay NBA player.  Coming out for John created international attention with fellow NBA stars denouncing him for keeping it a secret.
